[PRCo] MWP 776

More than I thought. I should have guessed Fairmont was larger than I had in mind by the amount of city service M WP operated there.

Correct, Morgantown was not a M WP city, but there is a connection. Some of their more modern cars went to M WP. One of them, or more accurately the remains of one, is at Seashore. I believe it is 115.

What year do you wish to discuss?

All three major MWP cities in West by god Virginia were very close to the same population:

                                    1910 1920 1940 1945 WAG today

     Fairmont, WV 9,711 17,851 23,105 30,000 18,750
     Clarksburg, WV 9,201 27,869 30,579 32,100 16,200
     Parkersburg WV 17,842 20,050 30,103 30,200 31,000

     Marietta, Ohio 12,923 15,140 14,543 16,000 14,000

I did not bother to dig out anything for Morgantown, Wheeling, Bluefield, Princeton, etc., because they are not MWP towns.

Did Fairmount have that much of a downtown? Perhaps so. I just assumed it was Clarksburg (but definitely not at the terminal there).

Looks like the end of the line at the terminal in a very fair mountain. :<) I would be tempted to say a print that came from the Barney Neuberger collection.
