I don't know of any plans for this.  A few years ago, PTM was offered the surviving Transit Expressway car that was displayed outside the West Mifflin HQ building, but passed, largely because we didn't feel we could interpret it outside the airport environment, and that if we correctly interpreted it as transit, it would be a failure.  We did not want to do that, because the technology has been immensely successful at many airports. We suggested that the proper place for it would be the Heinz History Center, but I don't know where that idea went. PTM also previously turned down one of the original cars from the Atlanta airport, again because it didn't fit the pattern of public transit in the usual sense.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to preserve one of the people movers from the airport once they're removed? I realize they wouldn't be able to be operated, but given their ties to SkyBus they could be interesting? Maybe I just have rose-colored glasses on and they're not that historically interesting?

I also realize they're not trolleys, but i don't know who else would even be a place to display them?
