[milwaukee-electric] Fake "trolleys". Again.

Who are these
faux "trolley"-looking
(somewhat, if you
squint and it's dark)
mini-buses trying to
fool?

"Get in, folks, just
don't look down at
those wheels! Look up,
that's right! Look at
the purty curlicue
decals and the genuine
hardwood benches just
like great-grampaw used
to ride out to
Toonerville! Hey,
there's even a bell,
listen! (Ring 'er loud,
Jason!) See? What
*else* do you want??"

How about we dress the
junior high school
football kids up in NFL
uniforms? "Welcome to
the Hometown Athletic
Field here at the Super
Bowl, folks, and here
they are in person: the
Chicago Bears versus
Notre Dame Fighting
Irish!! And here he is:
Coach Knute Rockne in
person!" What would the
crowd say?

Questions:

Was anybody ever fooled
by those fake trolley-
looking minibuses?

Why do pro-bus anti-
railers suggest buying
something that would be
made to resemble
(vaguely) what they
oppose?

Ever see a *streetcar*
dressed like a *bus*?

Do people come
hundreds/thousands of
miles to ride a
faux "trolley"?

Can anybody name one
faux-"trolley"
club/group for fans of
such things, the Elvis-
impersonators of railed
transport?
