About Friday night football in Madison... (I worked in Madison for 27
years and lived on a couple farms nearby.)
Friday-night football games were the norm until race riots during the
crack 1980s forced a changeover to Saturday (AM?) games.
Black girls would routinely gang up on hapless Caucasian females (those
who attended the football games alone), especially at Breese Stevens
park (about 2/3 mile east of the Capitol on East Washington Blvd.)
--where apparently East High played the football games, as they had no
athletic fields near their HS except for practice. Usually only one or a
few attacks per game. It seemed that the politically correct Madison
police took little to no action on that--appeasement related? The reason
for the attacks was that black females had only a few black males to
date because they often dated white girls then.
One particular Friday night during the 1980s the attacks was so
numerous, with so many blacks attacking white girls, that the police
finally showed up and brought out their riot gear and such that they
last used during the Vietnam student-riot days over a decade earlier.
Perhaps, the games are still held on Saturdays, but I moved from the
People's Republik of Madison thirteen years ago.
