Well I see it is signed for West Junction...what has me baffled is that it's got a hang-on headlight, a la the 882 in its final role.

Based on the residential power line and open wire telephone distribution =
sharing the same poles on the far right, I am guess this photo was taken =
along the Rapid Transit Line west of 68th Street, looking west, taken =
before completion, hence no transmission tower line, no signal nor any =
other circuits.

Some sort of inspection trip? Or perhaps a shuttle for crews working on =
construction?
