I was talking with Don Galt last night before he headed west again, and we
were discussing the interurbans; I mentioned that I had never been up the
road along the valley south from Black Diamond Junction, which you can now
not head up from route 837; Do any of you know why and how far it's
closed? I assume it's still hikeable?
Is any of the right of way where it ran high on the hillside above the
river valley before dropping down to Charleroi accessible?
He also mentioned another line which ran through that part of the valley
that I wasn't aware of; Maybe I'll go do some research after I finish my
degree work. Bleah!
