West Penn to Downtown Pittsburgh

Greetings!

The West Penn Valley Route on the Monongahela once extended into
downtown Pittsburgh (1920s?) and operated with a crew from both WP and PRCo?

While freight was operated from Uniontown-Connellsville-Greensburg into
downtown Pittsburgh, were any plans considered for running passenger service
through from these areas to downtown Pittsburgh?

I know the original freight cars constructed by West Penn had to be
shortened to acommodate PRCo clearances, but could you imagine a *700* coming in
over Ardmore, through East Liberty, and inbound along Penn?!!!!!!!
