Derails

	Both the 1944 and 1949 ERA maps show derails - many of them - with
the
1949 map being the most detailed.

The 1949 map clearly shows the following derails:::
 
	 4- One on 40-line on Shiloh outbound near Grandview.


Bob Dietrich replies. . .

My mother has a picture of Shiloh Street taken from Grandview Ave. in the
early forties.  The street is empty so the tracks are clearly visible and
there is no break of any kind in that track.  The only derail on that
stretch would have been objects placed on the track by the neighborhood
kids.
