I too recall a coffee shop. Was it the B&G with a Bottomless Cup of Coffee?
My friend Bob Leech called it Bugs Galore. Bob is retired, lives in
Chamblee, GA, had a stroke last year, and cannot get around any more. His
dad was General Agent for the C&O Ry in Cleveland .Bob was a classmate of
mine as a result, at Emerson Junior High School, Lakewood, Ohio. Then his
dad was transferred to Pittsburgh giving me a base to visit. They lived on
Bower Hill Road in Mt. Lebanon a few blocks from the 38 loop and the 42 wye.
So that is how I, a Clevelander, became interested in Pittsburgh Railways,
circa 1945-8. Bill V.
