T-h-i-s is a tough one! Cars were shuffled around quite a bit.
Cars 1763-1769 started out in South Hills; I have photos of them in service
just months after being delivered.
This group obviously includes Rays car of 1765 and he thought it was
always assigned at Craft.
Additionally, the o-n-l-y time that South Hills ever had 1500s was
immediately after delivery. Cars 1546-1549 have been identified as being at
South Hills. I *think* but don't know that these cars left when the 16s
arrived and 15s were never again assigned to South Hills until Car Houses
closed during the PAT days.
PRCo had many Car House closings during the 50s which also shifted
cars around. But why original equipment at South Hills, which became the
last car house, would be shifted out is a mystery unless there was some
system of numbering followed to keep similar numbers of different series in
the same barn!
