Why? Beechview cars come all the way to Shannon at least, why turn those
there, and turn the cars from the Village back there as well? Unless you
want different headways on the 2 lines, there's no reason, and taking away
one-seat rides makes people grumpy. I could see a case for restoring 47S
service (South Hills Village via Overbrook) and then cutting the 42 line
back to Shannon, or *maybe* Washington Junction. Didn't make sense before
because the limited capacity of the Overbrook line prevented adequate
headways to the Village, what with the Library cars sharing the line with
them.
