Finleyville not Canonsburg

Greetings!

Thought of responding on the first part earlier but had to run.
Certainly Ed and Bob have hit the heart of the matter. The criticism
comes from ignorance in not knowing the ethics - I definitely prefer
full identification even if the photographer is still living - I did
that with photos submitted of PRCo on the Washington line for *Trolley
Talk* several issues ago and the original photographer is now retired
and still living in the Cincinnati area. Received a nice note of thanks
from the photographer afterward as well (I purchased his negatives, not
prints!)
While not all publications may follow this ethic, may I say that
*better* publications like the PCC car books by Carlson and Schneider
certainly do use this format - photographer and collection where both
are known. PTM has followed this policy with their calendars and other
publications and many examples of such ethics from other publishers
abound. So criticism of this policy stems from ignorance at one end of
the spectrum to jealousy at the other end! But don't personally know
the heart of an individual so can't make a call on the matter!
