another remnant

The 16th St. Bridge surface was replaced several times, including a major
rebuild in 1951; I recall a resurfacing around 1960; the rail was finally
removed when the bridge was resurfaced around 1968, but the rail at the
expansion joints was left in place until rather recently when yet another
rebuild happened.

The rail curving from Penn Ave. to the 16th St. Bridge was probably cut
after the 77/54 line ended, but Penn Avenue still carried 87 and 88
trolleys until early 1967.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid altogether.
