1630

Well, I should no better than to say that 1630 was THE one and only.  In my
defense the other cars vents are all non-standard, while that on 1630 is the
same as on the other 1500s and 1600s.

While breowsing references I was surprised to see Bill Volkmer credited with
one of my 1963 slides.  The view of 1559 at
http://davesrailpix.railfan./net/pitts/htm/wvp174.htm is a John F Bromley
original, traded to Bill in 1963 or 1953 when we exchanged a few views.  I
still have its ":brother" from that photo spot along with several other ad
cars in service at the same location.  If this goes to Bill as I suspect it
does, the caption data needs to be changed to read as above.

The shrouds on the Pittsburgh 1200s matched the 50 on Toronto cars 4150-4199
of 1940.  It seems these longer shrouds with the vents were similar in the
front to those that came pon all later St Loiuis cars without roof fans.
Washington also had one series of cars with this type of shroud.  As far as
I know, it was placed on no other cars.
