West Penn Today - Boo Boo

The line was built too late to have gone to the town itself! It was down at
the bottom of the hill (as you go east on PA 130) at the big brick
farmhouse. I trust you meant "Youngstown" rather than "Uniontown," and if
so, yes, the R/W was along the road and is visible.

Yes, indeed! That is the biggest problem with attempting to trace an old
carline.
I know that I must have come across some old p.r.w. paths on a drive up to
Pleasant Unity a couple weekends ago. There were some detours because a
large
section of route 981 was closed. When we left Pleasant Unity, we
side-tracked
over to Uniontown and every now and then, I noted areas that appeared to
support
side-of-road trackage and weed-grown paths off of main streets. Not sure
if
they were old West Penn rights-of-way or not, but maybe in the fall, I'll
travel
up there again and see.
Incidentally, did West Penn go to or through Pleasant Unity at all?
