>From the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Sunday, July 16, 2000:

"Fifty years ago on this date, a packed McKeesport No. 68 streetcar jumped the
tracks after its brakes failed, knocked down a utility pole, and crashed into a
parked car near the gas station at Loretta and Murray avenues in Squirrel Hill.
Eighteen people were injured."

No note if this was a PCC or standard car.  I imagine that it was returning with
Kennywood folks, as it was a "Sunday" and was "packed."
