Between the late 1940s and the mid 1960s, there was a rather strong second hand
streetcar market for the various transit companies. Did the Railways ever consider
selling its oldest PCCs (or even its Low Floor cars) overseas? Or did the broad
gauge trucks make the cars unmarketable due to all the standard gauge cars
available to foreign buyers? Ken J.
