Perhaps traction/rail museums will someday have to fall under the
"protection" of the federal government and be made into 'national historical
parks, with federal money for support.

Of a related interest, recently on the US Gov't website listing all federal
jobs now open, I noted one job at Cuyahoga Valley National Recreational Area
for a "Track Maintainer" and two or three jobs at "Steamtown" for "Rail
Equipment Maintainer" and "Track Maintainer." These jobs were with the Dept.
of the Interior, National Parks Service. Perhaps the federal gov't is coming
to the aid of rail museums. Does anyone at the PRMA know of any such
assistance available?
