I would probably feel the same as Charlie under those circumstances but
in all reality, is it purposeful distancing or circumstantial? Think
the latter. Their work schedule is demanding enough - they have the
contacts behind the scenes in places of power and politics - they have
their own circle of friends - they have family to tend to - leaves
little time for anything else.
We need movers and shakers out front and we need powerful people behind
the scenes working where no one else would dare to tread!
