PRC wing emblem

Several weeks ago, there was a discussion about the date when the PRC
wing emblem began appearing on Pittsburgh PCCs.  I just came across a
photo of PCC 1283 taken at the Ingram Car Barn on 5/10/53.  The photo
contains a caption reading, "New PRCo emblem on the side of the car."  Is
this the earliest documented appearance of the emblem?
