Greetings!
Might be the earliest. I have a photo of 1614 heading south and just
north of the Richfol trestle and it clearly has the Winged logo behind
the center doors. More than likely, this is a photo of a fan trip and
could have been one of the following:
1)--1952.07.27 1614 PRCo Joint Trip with Akron, OH, RR Club.
Washington Shannon Charleroi, Roscoe, Washington; regular service car
4387 Black Diamond to Donora. Also included 1646, 3769, and 3761.
2)--1953.08.23 1614 PRCo Last PRMA fantrip Pittsburgh to Washington.
I suspect it was #2. It seems that the bulk of these winged logos did
not appear until the mid-1950s and even later - just a few showed up at
first. Doesn't seem to have been the push to wing-the-cars like there
might have been 20-30-years earlier!
