PRC wing emblem

The 5/10/53 photo is a near-broadside shot.  The 1283 appears to have a
clean exterior, so it may have been recently repained.  For sure, the
winged emblem is clear and bright.

This photo was taken by Bill Gwinn, who fortunately, wrote detailed
information on the backs of all his photos.  He even wrote the TIMESOF
DAY when the pictures were taken.  (For those interested, the 1283 was
photographed at Ingram C.B. at 2:58 PM on 5/10/53).

Bill was very generous in sharing his photos and recollections, and in
the 1961-65 period he gave me many photos.  He would be a great asset on
this e-mail list today.
