Greetings!

	Thanks, guys, you *old fogeys* are proving me to be younger all the
time!!!!!!::>>)) <U-VBG>

	I *remembered* Dave Hamley's series of articles in *Trolley Fare* about
PCC disposition and checked it out. In the final article, Part-4 in
July-Aug 1999, 1644 was converted to 1797--II about 1978.09.17.
	In late November of 1984, 1644/1797--II (and 1754) were trucked from
Tunnel Car House to the subway to check clearances and catenary. Then
on 1985.04.12, 1652/1792--II joined the former two for such duties.
	Then 1644/1797--II & 1652/1792--II were briefly returned to revenue
service in late 1985 on the 52 Arlington. But on 1986.08.11,
1644/1797--II and 1652/1792--II were officially retired. These two were
the last 2-air cars in service in Pgh! While 1613/1799--II was kept for
possible hysterical purposes, it never operated again in revenue service
and ended up at PTM.

	So NORM must have repainted the original number on 1644!
