Greetings!

	Gleanings From *Trolley Fare*
		January--1964

"A contract has been let to the Diversified Contracting Company of
Bridgeville to tear down the Castle Shannon Incline for $18,700. Work
should start soon and the association is investigating the feasibility
of obtaining the large building at the top of the incline as a second
car barn for Arden. Meanwhile redundancy hits the Monongahela Incline,
where four jobs are to be eliminated by modernizing the operation with a
closed circuit television system. Another first for Pittsburgh ? A one
man incline ?"
