Greetings!

	Gleanings From *Trolley Fare*
		June--1965

"NEXT PRMA FANTRIP WILL USE HIGHFLOOR CAR."
	"FIRST TIME SINCE SEPTEMBER 1956."

"Saturday July 17th will see re-painted, re-seated and cleaned
highfloor M454 scrapper operating on a PRMA fantrip, thanks to the
cooperation and help of the Port Authority. The car will make a round
trip from Tunnel to Emsworth, the remainder of the fantrip will be by
PCC, if M454 operates satisfactory on this level all-street route, it is
hoped that we will use it on future fantrips and introduce it to some
grades and T-rail running. If M454 runs into trouble this could be the
first and last highfloor trip."
"The cost of cleaning and renovating M454 is being amortized over the
first four trips, and we regret the necessary high cost of the fare, but
feel that you will get every pennies worth of your money 2.5 hours are
scheduled for the round trip to Emsworth giving time for photostops at
just about every block. All 45 seats will be sold on an advance
reservation first come first served basis, see the flyer with this
issue. If you want to hear the gear whine and rumble of old trucks,
feel the hard springing and the rattan seats, see and photograph a
yellow highfloor car on Pittsburgh's unique scenic street railway
system, get your check in the mail NOW."

PS--I'll gladly accept any checks you want to send.
Please, no applause, folks; just throw money!
