Greetings!

	Gleanings From *Trolley Fare*
		June--1965

"Changes in the South Hills have brought the trolleys into favourable
publicity. The present closure of the Liberty Tubes for repaving and
relighting, has resulted in the ex-Brentwood bus routes from Curry and
Baldwin Heights being terminated at South Hills Junction and the
passengers given a free transfer to inbound trolleys. Students leaving
the cars at Tunnel leave plenty of room for the passengers from these
buses."
"The Liberty Tube closure has slowed down other South Hills bus routes
and the Port Authority is permitting transfer of all Route 51 bus routes
to the interurbans at Overbrook for the regular 5-cent fee. Passengers
report that this is saving them 10 minutes over the bus and is well
worth the 5-cents. Ex-Bigi buses also have a 5-cent transfer to route
42/38 at Dormont Junction."

Was Bigi not absorbed into PAT?
And . . . does your keyboard have the *cent* symbol? The 5-cents in
the above quote was listed with the symbol in the original article and I
can't find it on my keyboard! Guess I haven't used that symbol for ages
or if I looked for it before I have forgotten about it. Also:

"The Port Authority announces that the $1.25 Sunday Pass will be
available for a further six months, it was re-introduced January 1st on
an experimental basis."
