Hello PRC experts:

Take a look at the above photo.

I know that PRC began running most East End routes out of Craft Avenue Car House
starting in 1960. But it seems strange to me that this 88 car would run out 5th
Avenue to get to its destination on the 88 line, without being a revenue car
first. I mean, wouldn't it be more practical to go out as an extra 76 Hamilton
with a cardboard sign saying it only went to Tioga Loop, then get on to the 88
line?

Also, I thought that 88 runs began in town, as Craft Car House was so close to
town. I recall standing at the Pennsylvania Railroad stop on Liberty Avenue
across from the Greyhound Station, awaiting an 88, and seeing it come from Grant
Street as opposed to its usual outbound route in Liberty Avenue. I figure this
meant it began its run at Craft and worked its way down Fifth then onto Grant.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Matt
