Greetings!
If I am not mistaken, Glenwood shut down before Keating (in PRCo
days(?)) and many of the Glenwood cars were based at Tunnel as were the
routes. Funny to see a 56-McKeesport car heading down Smithfield!
Information that I have indicates that South Hills Yard (SHY) could
hold 169-cars from mid 1954 forward. Don't know if that was crush load
where even loop trackage like Palm Garden would be included for storage,
but I don't think that is the case. So in reality, SHY could hold more
than 169-cars.
