PRCo Looking Realistic

Greetings!

Andrew W. Maginnis, long-time trolleycar fan, "O"--Scale modeller, and
personal friend of Richard and Birdie Wagner, wrote an article entitled
'PCC Car Panorama' which was published in issue #87 of 'Trolley Talk'
October 1971, Bound Volume #5.

This is not so much an article on the PCC as it is a set of photos
which identifies the "FLOQUIL colors closely resembling the actual
colors used on the PCC cars." (Note on page one of this issue, quoted.

On page 87-2 is the following quote:

"Pittsburgh Railways Co. #1036 at St. Louis Car Co in 1936 (series
1000--1099). Note sand hopper fill eft of front door similar to
Washington, D.c., cars. Also chanel iron PHB life guard fender.
Scrapped in 1961 with several others stored at Rankin Car House in
Pittsburgh.  Colors:  RR135 Daylight red below body and above windows;
BR470 G.W. cream on roof and window area."

I understand that Polly-S is quite popular now; don't hear much about
Floquil. While I am a modeller, I am not presently active. Hopefully
that will change in the future.

Keep in touch solely thru *Trolley Talk* - advertizing is very good and
articles are encouraging. Check local hobby shops on occasion and of
course, related web sites. DCC is quite intriguing. Would like to have
computer control to simulate an actual week of operations with cars
pulling into and out of the yard automatically for rush hour etc. Alot
of software work, but very possible! The computer would also allow for
simultaneous individual control so an operator could run his equipment
with many other cars operating. An operator could even operate a
schedule on a certain line by eliminating computer control of that
schedule!
Would be nice to set up a Sunday Schedule and have some fan trips out
there!
