Greetings!

I'll go for the early Fall, but won't even consider December January
February. Trees do kind of get in the way in the summer and I think I
see some benefit to snow levelling the playing field, but I ain't been
in weather like that for nearly a quarter-century and I can do very well
without it, thanks! December is bad because of the holidays and early
January is need for recuperation. Late January and early February can
exhibit some of the coldest temps and other miseries!

Just received an email from Bill Waller of Bethel Park - rides the
Library car. He and his wife are a transplant from the east to that
area within the last several years and they definitely enjoy it. Bill
posts quite frequently on abpr and informally organized a meeting of the
posters at EBT this past summer. Two other posters and their wives in
addition to Bill and his showed up - they had a grand time but it wasn't
the meeting they had hoped for.

Bud Laws showed - he has that huge inventory of steam error prints
which he posts. While many are more or less roster shots, there are
some striking photographs like the mallet stopped beside a Drive-In
waiting for a greenboard and others! I am far from a mainline RR fan
but will look at Bud's posts when I have time!
