Probably should have been, but don't remember any.
Going outbound, 56 cars crossed the 'rickety' (for lack of a better term)
Glenwood bridge, then a stretch of PRW (with crossover for double end short
turns??????) next to a factory building, into street and under B&O, then
think it was in center of Mifflin Road for maybe half mile before becoming
double track prw on east side of Mifflin Road to Interboro Ave. Near
Interboro it wandered couple hundred feet away from Mifflin Road. I don't
recall any bridges over the creek, but was only about 14 at the time. A
more recent road map implies that Mifflin Road now goes over, rather then
under the B&O.
There were three cars assigned to 56 on Sundays. They passed in Glenwood
and near the Dravosburg Bridge, so one could ride back and forth on the
center prw portion of the line. Would do the same on Library/Drake, riding
between Oak stop and Castle Shannon or St. Annes.
The Sunday/Holiday pass was good training in one's youth for amazing the
uninitiated nowadays in one's ability to navigate public transit. Still
seems to amaze my wife when I provide transit directions to strangers during
our travels. (most recently happened in Toronto).
