Let me see if I have this straight:

1727's braked failed, not because of deteriorated wiring or some other old age
factor, but because some idiot did not route an electrical cable correctly?

So an entire class of streetcars was retired because of a mechanic's screw up?

Is the moron the shop foreman now?  Or is he in charge of designing the new light
rail cars? Or perhaps Port Authority president?
