industry!

Deteriorated wiring could also be an issue with cars of that age.  They
were built with cloth / paper insulation.  Toronto Transit Commission
rewired (or scrapped) cars after 30 years.  PATCO rewired the original
1969 Budd cars beginning in the 1980s.
