I sometimes think that if all major Pittsburgh avenues were like this, that the
car lines may have had a better chance of surviving.   Brookline Blvd. in
Brookline is a big example of that.

OK - I'm dreaming.  But tight streets (McKeesport, Mt. Washington) definitely
contributed to the demise of the railways here.
