The 3800s were 3800--3814 and are 52-foot cars built by St.-Louis Car
Company for interurban service Only!! They were entirely too long for
use on any other line!
Conventional speeded--up low-floor cars of the 4800--5500--series
were used as rush hour trippers.
Also, when PRCo placed the PCCs into service as they arrived, starting
in 1936, they spread them out on as many lines as possible to give
maximum exposure by using them for base and evening service. And when
PCCs were mixed with older cars, the older cars were always the
speeded-up cars to allow all equipment to operate at maximum efficiency
and to keep the older cars from slowing the PCCs!
That makes the 2nd error I made -- going for a 3rd??(:->)
