Thanks for the update, John.

Some Baltimore railfans have found documents among the BTC archives which
*seem* to indicate this but it is extremely difficult to pin down.
PRCo apparently agreed to have one of the 16s built as the All-Electric
Demonstrator After the order was placed for the series and the fact that it
arrived on the property so fast is an indication that the car was already under
construction. This construction could have been for BTC.
As I said, >>-->> nothing conclusive <<--<<, but an indication in this
direction.
And the fact that BTC purchased only Pullman PCCs after the initial SLC order
does not rule out that they could again purchase SLC.

It has nothing to do with being equipped to my liking but just recognizing
certain facts in evidence. The roof lights did not appear until *about* the
time of the 17s but from other photo documentation, it *seems* that much of
the other interurban gear was present by 1948, including the spare trolley poles
which are lacking in these photos of 1613. Impossible to make out enough truck
detail to see if the experimental B3s are yet installed, and these were
installed by the summer of 1946 on both 1613 and 1614. As you said, Bill (and
many photographers) do not always date the pictures accurately!!(:->)
I have photos from other sources which state *A* date as 1961 and the
interurbans sport spare trolley poles -- truly a mistaken identity on dates!!
-- or at least a typo(:->)
