This perplexes me. PAT and PTM appear to have had a good relationship since at least the
late 1970s.  Heck, the Museum now has 60% of the original Overbrook line (minus the
trestles and a few rails) in its supply bins. Plus the largest collection of used PCC motor
generators located at one place in the entire Western Hemisphere. All courtesy of PAT. And
unless PAT intended to keep 1713 at the time 1711 was obtained by PTM, I would guess that
PTM would have first pick of any car on the property.

I suppose Ed Lybarger or Dave Hamley could give us the answer to this one.

P.S.- Too bad 1712 couldn't have been saved. That 1959 photo of it passing the barn is so
well known to us Pittsburgh fans. But I suppose I need to reread my earlier post about what
gets saved and why. :-)
