Ya wanna see a beat up PCC view any picture of ex-L:A cars in Cairo.  They
look like the paint was holding them together.  Alexandria wasn't so hot
either - some of the ex-Toronto PCCs were incredible.  Got so you couldn't
tell a 1938 car from a 1945, and there were saeveral differences on their
home turf.
