Yes (concerning body style), but from the customer's perspective, not the 
railfan's perspective.   We look at the 1700 GE cars and see a newer car 
body.  The customer's look at the 1700 GE cars and see a car with sealed 
windows.

What were the projected vehicle requirements in 1969??  1972??  1964??  Not 
as we look back with 20/20 hindsight, but as PAT Operations and or Planning 
Departments looked towards the future at different times and with different 
people in charge.

And it is admittedly a very difficult question for Harold to ponder.

Again, curious as to what was going on in the front office.
