Good Morning!!

The stop is actually South Park Road. I personally have a photo of a
PCC interurban outbound to Charleroi on the trestle.
I believe there is a photo of the trestle alone on Dave's site and it
has been discussed here before - don't have the time to look at Dave's
to identify the URL.
Well remember riding over the trestle and the shoo-fly to get around
the trestle removal as well as construction of the grade crossing. A
simple right-turnout was cut into the outbound track (at a point where
the current Library line roadbed suddenly dips) and both inbound and
outbound cars used the same track. Once the trestle was removed, the
outbound track was terminated directly beyond the turnout and the
drop-off was rather precipitous. Felt extremely uneasy about the
maneuver but this was built by PRCo professionals -- and it worked
well.
The trestle allowed for only one lane of traffic underneath it. Rather
interesting that this trestle is to be rebuilt if the Library line is
upgraded by ({[pat]})!!!!!!!

Here is the information from the PRMA fantrip:::::::

	""1960.04.24 -- 1161 -- 'Springtime Trolley Ramble'
		Monongahela Incline, 85, 82, 96, 95, 94, 75, 64,
		49, 48, 40, 36, 38A, 38, 42.""

Please Note the Correct SUNday date and the fact that the Library
line is not listed -- but doesn't mean it wasn't travelled on the
trip!!

	Photos on pgs.94, 96, 108, & 113 of WDVs *PA Trolleys in Color Vol-3*
show photos of this same fantrip with incorrect date. One similar to
pg.113 appears on Dave's site under WDVs section.
