Maybe I can answer half of my own question - the date is given by WDV in the
3rd PA opus as April 25, 1960, however that's a Monday.  US holiday????

Still no clue where.

wooden trestle.  Any ides of where?  This must have been a significant event
(the shoo-fly, not the fantrip).
