.......also from the August--1954 *ERA Headlights* -- and I
quote:::::::

	"Recent service reductions have been so severe that except for
emergency conditions, all PRCo service is now performed by PCC cars.
Summer schedules call for slightly over 500 peak cars, so with 665
revenue PCCs, there are plenty of spare PCCs on hand. Conventional
single-end cars owned number 297, so it is presently planned to place
100 in dead storage (not to be serviced or maintained) and scrap 197
others this summer. With the 8 remaining barns operating at close to
working capacity, it will require lots of planning to find room for the
100 cars, and Highland barn upon closing will be completely filled with
cars awaiting scrapping. Rolling stock owned now consists of 666 PCC
cars (1 used exclusively for instruction), 297 single-end conventional,
10 double-end conventional, 57 miscellaneous cars, and 227 buses."

	WOW----that roster summary says alot, Yes??!!(:->)
