Thanks for that, yes I should have remembered 1776, quite right, if I'd
stopped to think a minute!!

As for street track, I actually meant on the surviving LRT lines (I was
aware of the other topics on the abondoned lines). You did'nt say whether
that stretch under the bridge is still there and if it's now double or still
single, I checked PAT's website at the Timetables and it mentions "end of
single track" as a timepoint, this must be the last true bit of streetcar
track there and must be a real gem. What a pit Pat could'nt have kept a PCC
or two just to run that line as a tourist/reg service line, that would have
been neat.
