Roger,
Are you referring to the exterior photos of trolleys with a man guiding the
trolley poles? Those photos were taken on North Avenue on the North Side on
March 19, 1966. A fire on Brighton Rd. caused the cutback of 6/14 line
trolleys between downtown and Arch St. The cars were turned on the wye at
Arch St. and returned downtown; buses took the passengers out Brighton Rd.
The Arch St. track was short - it MIGHT have been able to hold two cars.
I took a large sequence of photos - including color - of the wye operation
that day. Nearly every weekend in the 1965-66 era I was out photographing
the last days of North Side trolleys, and I just happened to be on North
Avenue at Arch St. on March 19 when the wying operation started. By the
way, March 19 was exactly six weeks before the discontinuance of route 6/14
(and 21).
