Hello all,
This item was in Monday's Pittsburgh Post Gazette in the Almanac section, "one
hundred years ago (Tuesday, October 8, 1901).

A front page newspaper report said that "all the towns of the Chartiers valley are
soon to be connected by the Southern, formerly the West End, Traction Company." A
$75,000 track would be constructed, nearly parallel with Ridge Road, within the
next six months forming "one big loop" that would allow the residents of Crafton,
Ingram, Elliot, Sheraden, Carnegie, McKees Rocks and Mount Washington to travel
directly between them, without having to ride into Pittsburg.

Interesting. I guess it sort of ended up being one big loop, with all the lines
somehow connecting up close to the Ingram barn, or at best, West End Circle.
