Subject: [PRCo] PCC Streetcar in an Animated Cartoon
Our daughter came bounding out of the back room to drag me to the
television.
She was watching the animated children's show "Lil' Bill", the latest Bill
Cosby
creation aimed at children (the show teaches about parent and sibling
interactions as viewed through the eyes of a small grade school child. Both
the
content and theme are actually pretty good.)
There was an animated neighborhood of Philadelphia row houses against the
backdrop of the Ben Franklin Bridge and the downtown skyline. A very well
animated PCC air car was seen heading down a narrow residential street
(47-Wolf???) from the background into the foreground. The car was painted up
like the final rendition of Muni's green and cream color scheme.
Karla them took me to the display case in the den, pointed to my Corgi
"Muni"
car (a Philly car painted as Muni 1040) and said, "It's like this one,
Daddy."
I wonder if she's going to be the next Sarah Wells? :-)
