I hadn't lost the pointer after all, and yes, the
postcard shows a bridge with "A. L. BRAH" painted on
it.

Looking again at the photo on pg 88 of "Pittsburgh
Then and Now" under magnification, the farther bridge
does have letters on it. It appears to say "PENNA RR".
(And once I saw that using the glass, then I could
pick it out with the naked eye. Sigh.)

I note also that a tiny bit of the PRR bridge is
visible on the post card. I tried to relate the
buildings and signs in the potscard to the photo in
PT&N. It looks as if the postcar was taken from a
point about a block closer to the bridge.

Page 14 of PT&N has an aerial photo of the Point, in
which one can easily see the P&WV elevated line
leaving the Wabash Terminal and eventually dead-ending
at Duquesne Way. (There are also at least 3 streetcars
visible, preserving topicality.)

One can less easily see the PRR siding as it leaves
the track to the freight yards, and maybe one can see
its bridge over Liberty.

What really sticks out is the huge hole in the Wabash
Terminal train shed. The photo was taken in 1947,
apparently after the fire.
