Thanks, John.  So much for consistency.  Never saw this route in service, as 
was not allowed out at night in that era.

Again, not surprised, except that this sign is on a single end car.  That is 
a surprise.  However, perhaps a standardized low-floor roll sign for 
Glenwood Car Barn.  Somewhere in past year saw a mention of a short-turn on 
Greenfield, but clueless as to where (I saw the reference).

>From a mid-1920s Pittsburgh map, route 58 was single track on Greenfield 
between Winterburn and Graphic.  Winterburn might have been the cutback 
switch for Greenfield Short.  Just speculation.  There's a large RC school 
nearby.  Maybe the sign was used for school trippers??  Again, just 
guessing.
