100 years ago, Monday, June 30, 1902: The Pittsburg Press reported that three people were slightly hurt early this morning when the Western Avenue trolley car No. 590 lost its brakes on the wet tracks and crashed into the back of the Millvale car No. 195 while coming down the steep grade of Federal Street in Allegheny (city).
