I have a photo in front of me dated 7/27/50 of 1710 signed for Washington 
with the hourglass front. Maybe the V-fronts did not come into the picture 
till later years? So far have seen 1706, 1710, 1714, 1718, and of course 1711 
all with hourglass fronts. The 1600 series interurbans all seemed to have red 
fronts with no roof headlights up until at least 1948. Just found a photo of 
1700 dated April 1954 with hourglass front. My question would be anything 
other than hourglass fronts on the 1700-1724 interurbans between 1949 and 
cutback dates? I may have to wait for you to get to the office to find out
